Hello Members, Sponsors & Patrons
Happenings Around The Club
Does anyone know of a solo guitarist / singer who would be interested in performing at the Club when required? If so could you please have them contact me at the Club on 97553250.
Thanks Bruce
WEEDERS NEEDED!!
Recent rain has been very beneficial for the Club’s garden but it has generated the problem of weeds.
Help is needed to remove these weeds, particularly in the garden area immediately adjacent to the car park (east side of tennis courts).
Rather than arranging a busy bee, we are asking that, if you have a half hour to spare, then please feel free to do some weeding in your own time.
Rubbish bins are available & are located outside the kitchen.
This task is an ongoing one so please give it your support.
Thank you
Rob Pollard

BOWLS NEWS
MENS & LADIES BOWLS
I am happy to report after being a little unwell Daisy Grist is feeling much better and is on the mend.
Tuesday Mixed Bowls
June 13th 2017
Another 27 players turned up and the weather was very kind to us once more. Very good bowls were played once again and a lot of fun and enjoyment was had by all.
Geoff Oddy, Sue Chester, Chris Jackson & Hans Queckfeldt played very well throughout the afternoon to make it into the finals, where Hans got the better of his opponents to be a very worthy winner. Great effort Hans and hope to see you all again next Tuesday.
Thursday
35 players* saw Peter Cracknell arrange 11 triples and one pair on a cool, clear day.
Martin Osborne, Geoff Oddy, and Andre Gil won the day, with Rod Winchcombe, Bill Pearce and Butch Sharpe runners-up.
Keith Rowell partnered Wayne Coyle to take the MB.
Saturday
18 players* turned up, and it was a ‘wintery’ day in more ways than one when Jill and Graeme joined annual visitor Kay Upton in winning the triples.
Maureen Hines skippered Janice Hoover and Norm Gage into second place.
( * remember it is a 12.30 start on Thursdays and 12.15 on Saturdays with all names in earlier – one late-comer was disappointed on Saturday)

TENNIS NEWS
TENNIS COURT BOOKING REMINDER
A reminder to all Members that you must book on the Booking Sheet if you want to play/hit up on the courts at any time. Even if you are a Member, it does not change this fact. This is important for the obvious reason that others may override your usage of the court if you haven’t booked; or it may already be booked by another person/s.
There have also been a number of times on Saturday afternoons lately when people have assumed that as a member they can come and use the court anytime for a personal hit up. A member may not use the court for a personal hit up or play in any time which is previously booked out on the Booking Sheet at the Pay Station. This of course, also applies to non-members.
Saturday Club Social tennis is accommodating up to 30 players on a Saturday afternoon between 1.00 pm and 6.00 pm. Anyone is welcome to join in with social players on a Saturday, Full members (i.e. $230.00 members) can join in social play free of charge, other Member categories (Mid-Week/Parent) or Visitors pay a $10.00 fee to join in organised social play.
