Bowls

NEW! Misting system installed

Many thanks to Adam from Thinkwater for installing the water misting system to A Green last Friday.  I am sure the bowlers will appreciate a nice cool down during their games in this hot weather.

CROQUET

New Croquet Court update

 The Croquet Section is looking forward to seeing a green tinge on court two. The turf was planted two weeks ago and since then the surface has been watered three times daily. It was fertilised yesterday and will be rolled in two weeks. Play has been difficult, with sometimes three matches on one court, and we have been turning away players on Friday night.  Thank you to all club members who have assisted us with this project and thank you to the croquet players for their patience.

TENNIS

Junior tournament a great success

Dunsborough Tennis School –  tennis coach Paige Newhill organised Dunsborough’s first junior tennis tournament last Thursday. The numbers were great for our first local tournament. Kids of all abilities and ages participated and had a great time playing tennis… Congratulations goes to the following players who excelled on the day;

Group A Boys – Jai McBride > Champion  – Joshua Munt > Runner up

Group A Girls – Chloe Wain > Champion – Clair Newhill > Runner up

Group B Boys – Luca Zdravevnki > Champion – Tex Baxter > Runner up

Group B Girls – Skye Spencer > Champion – Ava Sproule > Runner up

Doubles – Jasper Reynolds/Culzean Spencer >Champions – Joshua Munt/Peter Buckingham >Runners up

Congratulations to all participants… the day was fantastic success and we are looking at doing it bigger and better in the future.

CYCLING

MTB Summer Time Trials continue on Monday

After the postponement on Monday 19 January… the MTB summer time trial series continues next Monday 2 February with the 1km Dual Slalom sprint.  Kids races start at 4.30pm with the Adults racing commencing at 5.30pm. All riders welcome… Adults  $5 members and $10 non-members. Under19 $2 members and $5 non-members. Kids Under13 Free… We will need 6 volunteers… please email cycling@dunsboroughcountryclub.org.au if you can help out?

Fixing things around our club

Carparking lines repainted & lattice work in place

  Our club upgrade project continues with the car park bays being repainted today and some lattice has been installed to hide the bin area.  It has provided the club entrance with a fresh face lift and looks great!

Friday Night Dinner

Steve Reagan is back!

Steve Reagan is back… and will be cooking up a storm at the club this Friday evening.  We have been enjoying good numbers on Friday nights which looks certain to continue.  Please have your bookings in by midday Friday to avoid disappointment.
