‘Yoga for over 50’s’ at Dunsborough and Districts Country Club, for ladies AND gentlemen ~
Beginners welcome !
In the words of local Dunsborough resident and yoga instructor Mandy Lancellas ‘I thrive on encouraging those who feel they ‘can’t do yoga’ to become those who can, by exploring the multiple benefits for the body, mind and soul. Gentle Hatha Yoga enables the body and mind to find calm and focus in the present moment. It is through breath awareness that we manage to realign our physical body with the mental and energetic systems. Our main focus is safe and effective alignment, to create awareness, strength and mobility. As we grow older the saying of ‘what we do not use, we loose’ begins to resonate with us more and more and so its vital to keep the body moving in a gentle and safe way, maintaining a healthy range of movement throughout our senior years and reducing the risks of injury.’
Mandy invites anyone who is interested to join this gentle and safe yoga practice, suitable for all levels including beginners and people over 50.
Date: Wednesdays
Time: 9:00 am
Venue: Dunsborough and Districts Country Club
Cost: $15
* Please bring a blanket for relaxation (as well as your own yoga mat if you have one).

BOWL’S NEWS
MEN’S BOWLS
Tuesday
Two teams enjoyed home games in round 4 of the Southwest Bowling League.
In the First Division Mike Brown’s team were successful in beating Eaton while Ed Hoemberg’s four came down by a lesser margin resulting in our team taking 3 points and maintaining their lead at the top of the 1st Division ladder.
On the other rinks, our 4th Division side were not as fruitful, Graeme Winter’s team going down to Busselton, while Norm Gage’s team scraped home by 2 shots producing just one point and leaving our third team at fifth position on the ladder.
Our 3rd Division side played away at Collie but lost on both rinks and came away empty-handed, though this, our second side, still retains second place on the Division 3 ladder, 3 points behind Collie White.
Thursday
40 keen bowlers turned up for Johnny and Rob’s peg-draw on a pleasant afternoon.
Gary Robinson and Wayne Coyle won the day with 2 + 21, while Gary Bell and Trevor Palmer were just 5 shots behind in second place. Heinz Fischer and Brian Buttsworth won the Mars bar.
Saturday
Our first team, Dunsborough White, visited Margaret River in the fifth round of the Leeuwin League, and came away with 4 points with both our teams successful over Margaret River White, taking the aggregate 29-47. Dunsborough White maintain their top place on the single ladder, now 3 1/2 points ahead of their nearest rivals, Cowaranup Gold.
Meanwhile, at Cowaranup, there was a tie on aggregate, 41 shots each, with Bill Hitsert’s four winning by 7 points, the same margin by which Dennis Frost’s team came down. The 2 points sees Dunsborough Blue in eighth position on the ladder.
Dunsborough Gold were away to Nannup and as usual struggled on the slow greens so that the aggregate was lost by 10 shots, a loss on both rinks resulting in a return home empty-handed. Dunsborough Gold is in seventh position on the ladder
