BOWLS
We had 29 men roll up for Thursday social bowls last week and 18 bowlers for last Tuesday’s scroungers.
Staff from Capel Vale winery also visited the Club for a bbq, beers and bowling. They left very impressed by the Club’s facilities and what we have on offer.

Men’s Golf Notes: Ron Carmody (Captain)

A good group of 18 players played in a stableford event sponsored by Terry Sanbrook.
It was a close finish with Alan Putland winning with 39 points, then there was a 3 way countback for Runnerup between Rod Grist, Barry Jackson, and Jim Parry , all on 38 points with Rod Grist gaining the place. Novelties were won by Rod Grist and Jim Parry.

Course Work
Burning is being carried out this week from 1.00 pm Monday Tuesday (Already Done) Wednesday Thursday if weather conditions permit.
Please Note: Wednesday Scroungers is a burn off session if you are available as are the Tuesday and Thursday. Let’s do it while we have the chance.
Combined MAJOR BUSY BEE is planned for Sunday 7 June 9.00 am

TENNIS NEWS
Dunsborough Tennis Club members played in the Bunbury Teams Tournament on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th May hosted by the Bunbury Tennis Club.
Mike Howes and John McCallum joined teams from other regions. The Dunsborough ladies formed a team comprising Marlene Howes (Captain), Juliet Olsen, Jan Pendrigh and Jenny Clark. They were joined by Heather Creedon from Esperance.
The tournament was conducted in a series of round robin events with the ladies playing 9 game sets. Both days provided some great tennis with teams from many Perth clubs competing alongside other south west teams. The Dunsborough Ladies team came away as winners of their division and had so much fun they’ve vowed to return next year.

As the cold weather is getting closer and members are starting to head north, your attendance and support of Friday night meals through winter is very much appreciated. The Members Jackpot draw was not won on Friday. The jackpot will be $1600 this week. Members must be financial and present to claim. The draw will be held in the club rooms between 5.30pm – 6.30pm.
