Hello Members, Sponsors & Patrons

MOTHER’S DAY BUFFET

86 diners enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal to celebrate Mothers’ Day on Sunday at the Club. Thank you to everyone who supported the event.

Many thanks to Chef Colin and his staff. Also a big thank you to Vicki (Acting Manager) and all ladies who supplied flowers and all of the little extras on on the tables to make it a special day.

 BAR PRICING

Unfortunately, on occasions and due to ever increasing prices the Club needs to reassess the bar prices and adjust them accordingly. So as of the 1st of June a number of our bar items will have increased in price. We are advising Members of this change so there isn’t any confusion when you next come to purchase anything over the bar after the 1st of June.  Thank you.

Membership

Well done to all those who have successfully updated their details in the Wild Apricot Membership program. A reminder that this needs to be completed before the 1st of June otherwise your invoice will be incorrect. If you have any problems please contact me between 10am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday in May. Many thanks Vicki!

BOWLS NEWS

MENS’ & LADIES’ BOWLS

36 men enjoyed a pleasant autumn day last Thursday playing three-bowl triples.

Garry Robinson, John Halden, and Johnny Tucker went home with the meat, while John Cunneen, Graeme Winter, and Rob Wilson enjoyed the chocolate.

Only 15 bowlers of both genders took to the carpet on Mother’s Day Saturday so Jill Winter wisely directed them to play Bowlers’ Squash due to the unbalanced numbers. Dennis Frost, Graeme Winter, Norm Gage, and Brian Buttsworth’s son, Matthew, all failed to score in the four-ends Squash final so the million dollars was shared equally. Well done Matt for emulating your father’s skills.
