CORPORATE BOWLS NEWS
Corporate Bowls have ended the second week with Jack Wackers winning from Mystery Bet and Hunters and Gatherers on Tuesday night and Unbiased won from Fangsters and Sprileys on the next night.
Leading on the overall scoreboard for Tuesday night is Jack Wackers from Plan B, Hunters and Gatherers and Maltesers. Then on Wednesday night Naturalist Garage Doors are leading from Fangsters and Unbiased with Think Water and White Shoe Shuffles coming into the picture.
All teams are competing for overall winner which will automatically be in the side to represent the club against Cowaramup in March. Seven teams will be selected with the four winners over the two rounds and then the next top three.
We are running a sponsorship box. All Corporate players and members of the Country Club who go to any of the Corporate Bowls sponsors for a meal, purchase wine, coffee, etc are invited to keep a receipt, write their name and phone number on back. Place this receipt in the sponsor box which is on the bar in the clubhouse. A lucky winner will be drawn and will win a super prize from Artezen. It is a $200 voucher!

Croquet News
Twilight Croquet:
Please arrive at about 5pm for a quick lesson, and then play until 6.15pm, finishing in time for the Friday Night meal. Cost will be $3 for members and $5 for DDCC social members and non-members. The golf croquet players will still be on the court when you arrive, so don’t think we have started without you.
Summer playing times:
Association Croquet: Tuesdays and Fridays 8.15 – 12.30. Newcomers welcome between 10.30 and 12.30 on Fridays. Tuition and equipment is available.
Golf Croquet: Wednesday and Friday afternoon 3pm – 5pm. Names in by 2.45pm please. Cost is $3 per session for members, $5 per session for social members and non -members. Newcomers welcome to join anytime. Tuition and equipment available.

Combined Mens/Ladies Golf Committees have met and will continue to meet bi- monthly for the coming year.
Projects
- Greens renovation is still a work in progress however after discussions with a quarry source we intend to make a decision and settle on a completion timeline to be undertaken during the next few months.
- A meeting is to be held with Busselton City Council Reps to seek their support for the proposed Green Renovation Plan on 16 November. 2015

The Tennis Section are fund raising for new tennis courts (currently the ‘Superpit’ out the back!) and would appreciate support from members of the Country Club. If you are interested in winning one of the fantastic prizes on offer, please see one of the Bar Staff or a ‘Tennis’ person to get your ticket (or book of tickets if you feel you can help us sell the tickets). Friday Night Dinner
As you may be aware, Kirsty is not cooking for the Club on Friday evenings anymore. She is off to Thailand for 6 months to persue her culinary dream. We have a new chef and a new format starting on Friday’s. Hamish Mcleay formerly from Bunker Bay Cafe is now the Clubs in house chef. Hamish brings with him a wealth of experience and talent.
Friday night meals will now be available from 5.30pm with last orders by 8.00pm. Hamish is offering a selection of cooked to order dishes. From next week, tapas style dishes will also be available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. When booking please state what time you would like to arrive. With change there is always a few teething problems. So I ask please be patient and understanding.

Friday Night Jackpot
The Members Jackpot was not won on Friday night. This week’s jackpot will be $500. Members must be financial and present to claim. The Jackpot is drawn between 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm in the Club rooms.
