Membership Renewals
Membership renewals for July have been sent out either by email or letter. If you normally renew your membership in July and you have not received a renewal please contact me at membership@dunsboroughcountryclub.org.au or by phone 97591218 in the evenings.
This year we are re-introducing Membership cards. Membership cards that have a gold stripe are for full and full family members. Cards with a silver stripe are for all other members (social, junior, cyclists & social family).
These cards along with receipts are being processed now and will be ready next week for most people.

BOWLS
MEN’S BOWLS NEWSLETTER
Tuesday MM Bowls was supported by 23 very keen bowlers and saw Gail Barry emerge winner from a tie for Runner Up position shared by Geoff Oddy, Steve Christensen and Graeme Winter.
Thursday Men’s Social Bowls was only for the brave hearted given the weather prediction for the day.
However 14 guys did roll up and whilst play was delayed by 10 minutes at the start because of rain, they did manage to complete 2 games of 10 ends rain free!!
Winners were Wendell Hoover & Brian Buttsworth with +12 Runners Up.John Tucker & Ian Creach
It was noted that Rod Grist was in Perth undergoing medical procedure and best wishes were extended to him.
Again Saturday Snakes and Ladder event was threatened by the weather but 16 players enjoyed the day in rather pleasant conditions.
JemCoupar was outright winner with a distinguished win of 6 points with 11 shots.
Kevin Nichols with 5 points and 11 shots was Runner Up and Gary Robinson third with 4 points and 15 shots.
Both Kevin and Gary look like they’ll be swabbed by stewards Janis and Wendell and no doubt be seeded vertically – the price paid for bowling well!!

CROQUET NEWS
Our thanks to Greg Banfield for removing the understory on the trees adjacent to the golf course. The busy bee on Saturday resulted in the new court being weeded, and the limestone blocks being cleaned and stacked ready for laying. A big thank you to the stalwarts who attended namely David B, David M, Terry and Jerry H Vaile D, Frances L,Helen R,Raelene W.

Men’s Golf
Last Saturday we played a Stroke Flag competition sponsored by Barry Jackson who made a special effort to be back for the presentation, driving from Kalbarri and arriving in time to congratulate the players and placegetters. Thanks Barry.
Winner of the Event was Clive Williams who handled the course well to get a gross 86 and a Nett 69 . Runner up was Mike Brown with a gross 89 and a Nett70 .Both players carried the flag to Hole No 1 for the second time as per the event .John Crute got the longest putt on Hole 18.

Preparations are under way for this major all day event with surrounding Clubs being contacted and inviting All Golfers to make up a Mixed Team where possible but not mandatory.

The Members Jackpot draw was not won on Friday. The jackpot will be at $300 this week. Members must be financial and present to claim. The draw will be held in the club rooms between 5.30pm – 6.30pm.
